TEAM COMMITMENT
Our Concept & Team Commitments
Non-Traditional Season (Summer):
No summer requirements but fun improvement opportunities offered in club play.
Non-Traditional Season (Fall - Term 1):
Only twice a week after school required* plus fun improvement opportunities offered in club play. Apply time management skills & team commitment while we are low time commitment to prepare for later.
Pre-Season (Winter - Term 2):
A small increase in time commitment includes two more practices for a few weeks in school Term 2 with turf time.
Traditional Season (Spring Semester):
Five days a week, some occasional weekends, and it's a spring class for an attendance based grade.
Our primary time slot is 4:00 to 6:00pm for practices in-season.
Practice is not during fourth period but it is a class and class is in session when class is called.
Players typically 'study hall' it during fourth period and then come out to practice.
Attendance is required even though practice is not during fourth period.
Do not schedule anything else 4:00 - 6:00pm in the spring if you want to be on the team.
* In-season other San Marcos team sport athletes should focus on their other school team commitment without hesitation.
They do not need to attend lacrosse workouts until their season is over as they apply their commitment to their other San Marcos team, learn good teammate concepts there and get fitness training.
